This side table is composed of a round tabletop and three table legs that are mould shaped to follow the circular curve of the tabletop.

The table is assembled with black machine screws attaching the legs to the edge of the tabletop, which underlines the simple construction of the table. The black machine screws possess an industrial character which compliments the stringent and geometrical design language of the table.

The tables are made from birch tree veneer and subsequently treated in a transparent high gloss lacquer, giving the tables a clear glass surface. The choice of lacquer makes the furniture alive because of the visual effect giving a reflecting sense of the space around the table.

At the same time, the lacquer accentuates the grain pattern of the wood and its unique qualities. The clear lacquer makes the wood golden and, unlike untreated plywood, the natural glow of the wood is enhanced and the reflective finish gives a sense of exclusivity, where the surface of the wood is “exhibited” behind the “montre” of the lacquer.
